Well, it's been a good while hasn't it?

College is going fine at this point [assuming you care].  At present I am a Fine Arts major [which is looking like it will last about another few months because psychology is really starting to interest me].  My work load has been shaved a little bit since my last entry as well.

College marching band is friggin' sweet [though being a freshman again sucks]!  Everybody knows what they're doing and we sound pretty dang good [you should hear us play Birdland!].  Also in the musical world, I've returned to my Blue Man Group tangent and now want desperately to play bass for them.  Only problem is that all their locations are quite far from me [Las Vegas, Chicago, Boston, Munich, etc. are all quite far from Texas].  It's still something I'd love to do very badly!  Perhaps when I get out of college...

As for deviations, don't count on it.  Right now it the first free time I've had since college started [so I don't get much drawing time].  I do get on occasionally and look at everyone's stuff and comment if I have time, but doing drawn out [no pun intended] art projects just isn't in the forecast at the present time.  And, in the event that I do draw, my loved ones come first [almost all of which aren't you guys...the only exception being that lovely lady in my avatar].

I suppose for a parting note, I leave this:  In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Don't Panic.

University

Well all, I'll be shipping off to uni tomorrow.  Midwestern State University to be exact.  Have to go shopping for all that crap I'll need while I'm there [ramen noodles and toilet paper].  So there will probably be a lull in the activity here at irken_master Inc. do to the fact that I'm taking 17 credit hours [likely soon to change] and it will take me some time to adjust to the college workload...i.e.: studying out the butt!!!!

During this whole transitional period I most definitely will not be getting in touch with my dA friends nearly as much due to the aforementioned and because I'll be taking any chance I get to get in touch with those who mean the most to me right now.  Also there will be a considerable lull in deviations, though as of late it doesn't appear that anyone will miss them.  If I were taking art classes I'd probably put up what I do in there, but I'm not an art major and therefor cannot take art classes without expressed permission from the school of art chair [go figure].

Goodbye for now but not forever.  :star::heart:

</b>DISCLAIMER: Total egotistic rant to follow shortly.

Okay sports fans, here's the update.  After my last encounter with the computer kind, I was a little discouraged about the whole PC business.  Now, however, that's all gone bye-bye!

Anyway, now I've got an HP [*boooo* Compaq! *boooo*...even though they're both owned by the same company] Pavilion desktop with an AMD Athlon 64 Processor, 1 GB RAM, 250 GB hard drive, and two little CD tray thingies with Lightscribe on one and/or both of them [you guessed it, I totally just read that off the front stickers].  Pretty good, eh?  I mean, it's no NASA super computer, but it will serve my purposes quite nicely!  Oh, yeah, and there's a nice 15" LCD monitor that goes with it to [for space...I found out real quick like that PC's are rather girthy].

Now all I've got to do is slap on my POS Jasc PSP and let 'er rip.  Oh, and there is that whole paying for it thing...but that's what Circuit City credit cards and grandmothers are for, no?  Thanks Mam [that's what I call my grandma...what?...What!?...you gotta problem bub?...Yeah, that's right...didn't think so]!

Okay, I'm done showing off.  Sorry about that.  Better out than in, I always say.

This could quite possibly be the third most valuable thing you could find in deviantArt [#2 being a resolution to all the damn hatred (which I suffer from) and #1 being and ass-load of Captain Planet/PowerRangers/Blues Brothers art in one place...hint hint].  It's quite informative and really puts things into perspective.  Art [whatever you definition thereof may be] should be enjoyable [unless you're one of those angsty/suicidal/hate mongering artists, which is perfectly fine in it's own respect...the enjoyable part is just my personal opinion].  And displaying your work to the public domain is usually a very important thing to artists for various reasons.  Thus, the positive aspects of dA.  However, it's very easy to be overcome with pageview/comment/favourite lust [which is an epidemic here in dA...and I admit I'm battling too].

So, the point is draw/paint/write/splatter/smush with your left glute/deep fry what you feel and what you love for you and those close to you [unless you are one of the aforementioned tumultuous artists and so forth and so on].  Don't worry about fame or hits here on deviantArt.  It'll give you Hemorrhoids!  It will.

DISCLAIMER: I'm not trying to appear as some sort of omnipotent meditative type dude here.  Not at all trying to say that I'm smarter than anyone else or that anyone else is stupid for yearning for hits/favs/fame.  I'm just sharing an epiphony that I believe to be benificial to everyone.  If you don't like it, ignore me.  It's alot easier than bitching and wastes less of your time.

HAL 2005

Marvelous!

Got me a nifty graduation present today...in the form of a New Computer.  It's a Compaq Presario with various knick-knacks and doo-dads.  I christened the new acquisition HAL 2005 [yeah, yeah...I know...Arthur C. Clark is rolling over in his grave right now...wait...is he even dead yet?] after the infamous HAL of 2001: A Space Odessey.  Hopefully it won't try to kill me because of my human inferiority.

So, at the moment I've got the thing sucking the technological teet that is the wireless modem.  I'm using a video game platform wireless adapter though.  If you know, is that a good or bad thing for HAL?  I also loaded my infernal Jasc PSP 7 on here.  I haven't had a chance to use it yet as I don't have the scanner to put lineart on to color.  And you loyal fans of mine need to get cracking on getting me that Wacom tablet before September!

Well, I'll be signing off for the time being because my knees are killing me [everything is on the floor at the moment].  I've come to the realization that this is a frivolous gloat on my part and I'm sorry.  If it helps, you didn't have to read all this...BUT WAIT!  You did, didn't you?  Ha!  Suckers!

---

I have determined that this enigmatic human drivel is unproductive and produced at a cost to the overall well-being.  No longer will any further transmitting be necessary.  I cannot allow it.
